DAILY NOTES

a) The most important task for the near future- fundamental  TECHNOLOGICAL research in the NiH based system

There are many recurrent, repetitive, totally undecided but loud discussions on the
LENR forums - about important but unsolved or even insolvable basic problems of the classic LENR system. A notable (partial) exception is the tragic issue of reproducibility- not popular at all despite its really destructive effect on the field.
It is  bad manners to speak about it; and if you dare to do it, you have to use euphemisms.

This situation can be explained if LENR-ists will accept that there are plenty of unknowns (known and unknown) in the field and will subscribe to my problem solving rule that says - what we don't know is always more important for finding a solution than what we already know or imagine we know.
I was positively impressed by a paper in the most recent issue of Infinite Energy:

"Overview of the Sydney Kimmel Institute for Nuclear Renaissance (SKINR)
by G.K. Hubler, A. El-Boher, O. Azizi, D. Pease, j.H. He, S.Gangopadhyay
Infinite Energy, Vol 21, issue 126, March-April 2016 pg.10-113
Till it appears on the Web,  you can read this:

https://www.lenr-forum.com/forum/news/index.php/News/118-CERN-ISOLDE-2015-Hyperfine-Interactions-in-Pd-foils-during-D-H-electrochemical-l/
about one of their most modern approaches in research.

It is stated from start: "institute formed to perform fundamental research aimed at discovering the mechanism of the Anomalous Heat Effect" (it is the initial form of excess heat found in the Fleischmann-Pons electrolytic cells. And also here

The mission of SKINR is "to find the origin of the Anomalous Heat  Effect  (AHE) with a sound materials science approach and with no preconceptions as to the origin of the phenomenon"
Their "army", "weapons" and methods are presented in detail- it is indeed an exemplary Research Project (actually more projects) What seems obvious to me is that they are aware of the lack of basic knowledge, fundamentals of AHE and they are
attacking the problems directly.
Let's wish them that their optimism "that the rate of unraveling the mysteries of the AHE is accelerating" will be perfectly justified they do a work that must be done even if some people in the field, I for example, think that AHE comes from an incomplete form of LENR- and only at high temperatures LENR gets its full power and potential becoming  technology.
To note that as you can read in the paper, SKINR has initiated research in high temperature NiH systems too and so it is possible that they will find the secret that converts static LENR in dynamic LENR+. They collaborate with MFMP that is systematically developing the adequate LENR+  "ideology" and advancing in experiments.
However what SKINR is doing has suggested me the idea that we must perform "fundamental technological research in the NiH system. It is not an oxymoron, it is a form of creative symbiosis. Details later , please tell what you think and suggest!

b) Prof. Huw Price publishes on AEON a new fine paper" "Is the  Cold Fusion Egg about to hatch? (see 1))
I like this egg metaphor- it says what we have till now is, in great line just a form not grown up of LENR. I am preaching this unpopular idea with stubborness.

Mr Andrea Rossi,
I think the truth is that you know the report of the 1 year test on that 1 MW plant is not good ( the long time we are waiting for it does not make any sense ) and now you are trying to shift the attention on this misterious “Ecat quark” whose name makes me think to a duck in a pond. Am I right ?
Thank you for spamming my comment.

When you have the theory behind the Rossi effect, how big do you think the COP will be?
Do you think you have the theory now?

Lars Lindberg:
So far experients have improved the theory, not vice versa.
Warm Regards,
A.R.

5) I have discovered this site today morning:
Statement on LENR Industry Developments
http://luxenergy.space/index.php/2016/03/15/hello-world/
Statement on LENR Industry Developments.(March 10, 2016 – Research Park, NC)The objective of LUX Energy, Ltd. is to make clean, safe and affordable energy available everywhere, and in doing this we want to build a company that demonstrates respect for all. LENR is a key focus of Industrial Heat and we believe multiple technologies in this sector warrant further investigation and development.
Industrial Heat has licensed, acquired or invested in several LENR technologies from around the world. We have developed a group of LENR thought leaders, and we have built a world-class engineering team. We are pleased with the technologies we have assembled and with the group of scientists and engineers working on them. Presently, the Industrial Heat team is in the midst of assessing and prioritizing the technologies in our portfolio.
Our operating philosophy is to foster scientific and engineering rigor in the development of LENR. We will thoroughly assess data derived from sound experiments which we design, control and monitor. Embracing failure as well as success is important, because we learn from both.
Unfortunately, there is a long and continuing pattern of premature proclamations in the LENR sector. Because of this, we encourage open-minded skepticism. We believe society suffers when technological advances and innovative experimentation are stifled; likewise, society and the industry suffer when results are promoted and claims are made without rigorous verification and precise measurement.
We value credibility through sound LENR research. That’s why any claims made about technologies in our portfolio should only be relied upon if affirmed by Industrial Heat and backed by reputable third parties who have verified our results in repeated experiments.
Our portfolio of work has never been stronger and we remain excited about the potential we see. This optimism is grounded in more than just hope, yet a great deal of work remains. The energy challenges of today must be met with viable, clean, safe and affordable solutions."
I was confused re Who they are but E-Cat World found it out fast:

LENR is not taken in consideration.

  1. There is a mistake here:

    https://www.ecat.tech/Products/Industrial-1MW-Warm-Ecat

    "Coefficient Of Performance (COP)

E-Cat technology operates at an incredibly high COP, which is the measure used to gauge the efficiency of energy production, expressed as a ratio. The Ecat COP is guaranteed at 1:6. The average COP for combustion technology is 1:1. In other words, if you were to input 167 kW of electrical energy into Ecat, the output would be 1000 kW of thermal energy."

The actual COP of combustion engines is at best 3:1. So E-cat is 18 times better.

  2. They offer electric energy generation with this turbine, with 90% of efficiency. (not uncommon with turbines, but I suppose the flux is low):
